- His discipline is restorative.

iii. Is the Lord disciplining you this morning? If so, what area of your life is in need of repentance?
- He is faithful in the midst of his people’s faithlessness.
- God is faithful (v3)
- God’s people fail to return covenantal faithfulness to him (v4)
- He offers us the chance to relate to him through a life-giving relationship and not through vain and dead religious rituals.
- God does not desire mere religious transaction
- God desires genuine religious action that is the result of love for him
