What’s In Your Temple?

What’s In Your Temple?

March 31, 2019 | Rev. Dr. Brian Howard

Passage: Mark 11:12-19

Jesus compares an unhealthy fig tree to an unhealthy temple.
We can apply Jesus’ observations to find four comparisons in our own lives:

1. Fig Tree: Jesus compares a fig tree that is f__________ but f__________ to a
temple that is f__________ but f__________. (v. 12-14)

2. Money Changers: We are like “money-changers” when we try to destroy
the P__________ instead of being p__________ ourselves. (v. 18-19)

3. Mountains Moved: What are the things in your life right now that could
compare to a “fruitless fig tree”?
What are the “mountains that need to be moved? (v. 20-23)

4. The Temple: If your body is a temple, what does Jesus see when he enters
and looks around? (1Cor 6:19; Mark 11:11)
