"Caiaphas: The Truth is Right There"

March 20, 2022 | Rev. Dr. Brian Howard

Passage: Matthew 26:57-68

For Reflection

  1. If you could see Jesus face-to face, would it make your faith stronger?
  2. As a student of Isaiah and the Psalms, why should Caiaphas have been more open to accepting that Jesus was the Messiah.

  3. Are you ever so busy going through the actions of faith in Jesus that you overlook actual faith in Jesus?
  4. How did Caiaphas’ prophecy in John 11:51-53 speak more truth than he realized?
  5. Do you ever put Jesus on trial like Caiaphas? Misrepresent Jesus like the 2 witnesses?
  6. Has Jesus been standing before you all along? How does your response compare with Peter and John (Acts 4:10-12) or Caiaphas (Matthew 26:66)
