Baptism? At a Time Like This?

May 31, 2020 | Rev. Dr. Brian Howard

Passage: Acts 8:4-40

Baptism isn’t just an event in the life of a Christian, but an attitude. A life of Christian Baptism is:

  1. C____________________ in genuine repentance. (8:9-13, 18-23)

  2. C____________________ with the Holy Spirit (8: 14-17)

Reflection Questions:

  1. Have you been baptized? What did /does baptism mean in your spiritual walk? Do you have questions about baptism that you’d like answered this week?

  2. How can Simon the Magician serve as a warning in my own faithless seasons?
How does the Holy Spirit’s postponement for the Samaritan’s give me a better appreciation of his presence for me?

Join us next week for Part 2, when we’ll study Phillip’s baptism of the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8:26-40.
