Our Beliefs

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful" - Heb 10:23
The Scriptures are our hope! Always has been and always will be. Why? Because from Genesis to Revelation God has made himself known and expressed his complete love and mercy toward mankind and how He has always been redeeming a people for himself through the person of Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE: We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind, and truthful in all that they teach, and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life.

GOD: We believe in one living, sovereign and true God, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, coequal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections.

CREATION: We believe that in the beginning God created all things and by His sovereign power and providence. He continues to sustain and order His creation to fulfill His divine purposes and manifest His glory.

MAN & SIN: We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him and to glorify Him and therefore has great dignity and value. But, man fell in sin and became spiritually dead, inheriting God’s condemnation and totally unable to please God or earn salvation.

SALVATION: We believe that God has graciously provided a way of salvation for fallen man. He enlightens their minds to understand the things of God, and all who trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ alone and are declared righteous on the basis of His death, become children of God and receive the Holy Spirit Who leads them in the Christian life.

CHRIST: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father where He exercises His power as Prophet, Priest, and King.

HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit from the Father to live in the hearts of believers, empowering them for obedience and ministry. Without submission to the power and presence of the Holy Spirit we cannot understand the Bible, cultivate lasting spiritual change or live for the glory of God.

THE CHURCH: We believe in one true, universal church of which Christ is the head. The visible church is the ordinary means of the spread of the gospel and the building up of God’s people. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are sacraments observed by the church. They are not to be understood as a means of salvation.

LAST THINGS: We believe in the personal, glorious, and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ with his holy angels, when he will exercise his role as final Judge, and his kingdom will be consummated. We believe that Jesus is going to return and make all things new, bringing about full justice and righteousness as he rules and reigns in the new heavens and new earth for all eternity.
